Invisalign® in Danbury, CT
Invisalign® straightens teeth with a series of clear, removable aligners. Each one moves your teeth a small step at a time. It starts with a consult and a quick 3D iTero® scan, so you can find out whether aligners are right for you.

How teeth move
Small steps, one set at a time
Each new set of aligners is shaped a little differently from the last. Wear them as planned and your teeth move gradually toward the smile in your plan. Retainers keep them there.
Start
Crowded or overlapping teeth
Along the way
One aligner set after another
Finish
Retainers hold your result

Is Invisalign® right for you?
A good fit if you have…
✓ Crowded or overlapping teeth
✓ Gaps between your teeth
✓ Teeth that shifted after braces
✓ A mild to moderate overbite or crossbite
Something else may work better if…
– Your bite or jaw needs more than aligners can do. We'll refer you to an orthodontist.
– You have a cavity or gum problem. We treat that first.
– You can't wear aligners most of the day. Wear time is what moves teeth.
Clear aligners vs. traditional braces
Both straighten teeth. The biggest differences are how they look, how you eat and how you clean.

Consult and 3D scan
We check your teeth, gums and bite, take a quick iTero® scan and talk about your goals.
Your plan and first aligners
We map out how your teeth will move, then fit your first aligners and show you how to wear and clean them.
Check-ins, then retainers
Short visits keep you on track. When you finish, retainers hold your new smile in place.
Good to know before you start
Does Invisalign® hurt?
Expect pressure or soreness for a day or two with each new set. That means they're working, and it usually fades quickly.
How long does it take?
It depends on how far your teeth need to move. You'll get an estimated timeline at your consult.
Do I need a retainer after?
Yes. Teeth tend to drift back, so wearing retainers as directed protects your result.

“The staff are all so kind and gentle, very thorough in explaining what is going on, and helpful through payment.”

Some dental plans include orthodontic benefits, and we'll check yours. HFD, Cherry or CareCredit can turn the cost into monthly payments.
Invisalign® questions
What happens at the Invisalign® consultation?
We check your teeth and bite, take a 3D scan, answer your questions and explain costs and financing. There's no obligation to start.
How many hours a day do I wear aligners?
About 20 to 22 hours. Take them out only to eat, drink anything but water, brush and floss.
Can Invisalign® fix an overbite or crossbite?
Often, when it's mild to moderate. Severe bite problems can be less predictable with aligners, so we'll refer you to an orthodontist when needed.
Is Invisalign® for teens too?
Yes. There's no set minimum age. We decide case by case after an exam.
Does insurance cover Invisalign®?
Some plans include orthodontic benefits, and we'll check yours. Financing through HFD, Cherry or CareCredit is also available.
