Baby teeth vs. adult teeth

Baby teeth fall out, but they still matter. They hold space for adult teeth and help kids eat and speak.

Good to know

When should my child first see a dentist?

By the first birthday, or when the first tooth comes in. We see kids from 6 months.

Are baby teeth really important?

Yes. They hold space for adult teeth and help with eating and speaking. Cavities in baby teeth can hurt.

What are sealants?

A thin coating on the chewing surfaces of back teeth that helps keep cavities out.
